"Babies were thrown into the airand the machine gunners used them as targets" (Wiesel 16).
Analysis:
I think that this is so cruel. Who could be so hating towards these people? Plain and simple, Hitler. Hitler was the basic definition of evil. To do this to poor babies. Babies have no clue what is going on and dont want to be let go by their father or mother. On the mothers side I would imagine it would be even worse. To know that your, basically newborn, is about to die is just heart breaking. I feel a lot of sorrow and pain for the parents of the children and to know that they are next.

"Lying down was out of the question, and we were only able to sit by deciding to take turns" (Wiesel 32)
Analysis: This to me, is just also cruel. These poor people knowing that they might die are just treated like animals, or like they are worth nothing. There must have been atleast 80 people in those small cattle wagons. They were so tight that I bet they wanted to just jump out. But the problem was, if they did so they would have been shot. This man was pure evil.
